Technology behind “Guardians of the Galaxy”

The Guardians of the Galaxy is an American superhero film by Marvel Comics and is produced by Marvel Comics. The distribution of the film is through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and it becomes the 10th installment for Marvel Cinematic Universe. The storyline is done by James Gunn and Nicole Perlman, while the film is written and directed by James Gunn. The cast of the movie features a number of incredibly talented actors, including Bradley Cooper, Glenn Close, Jon C. Reilly, Zoe Saldana and Djimon Honsou. At the San Diego Comic-Con International, July 2012, Marvel Studios announced that the movie was in active development though Kevin Feige had initially gone public about its production in 2010. The filming of the set started in July 2013 in England, Shepperton Studios, and release for the movie is expected on August 1st 2014 in 3D

There is a lot of promise for this movie in the production. The producers will use new artistic conception in the movie. So far there are very few details regarding to the modeling of the live actors through the use of digital characters. A good example, there will be green makeup for Zoe Saldana’s character Gamora as opposed to the use of CGI. In an interview, Zoe was rather glad that her character will actually be herself and not motion capture and CGI. Besides that however, it is rather premature to confirm whether or not special effects or color correction will or will not be in use for the production of the movie. However, Groot ad Rocket Raccoon’s characters are expected to feature a blend of CGI.

Indeed the year of 2014 is going to be one of those years where Marvel Comics will be very busy. The release date for Guardians of the Galaxy was pushed forth from May 16 to August 1st; just two weeks shy of X-Men: First Class 2. With other releases expected of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Thor 2, Marvel Comics will indeed be working hard to ensure that all these releases are success stories.

Guardians of the Galaxy pretty much tells the story of aliens who have to unite in order to protect the galaxy from an invasion by Thanos. There are also rumors that the switch of the release date could be as a result of the prospect of another film being produced, Ant-Man, though confirmation of the same is yet to be received.

Usually an excellent movie production like 3D animaion and CG movies can't be done without help of render farm with considerable render nodes. We can even say these movies/animations can't be produced without render farm. It is for sure that the skill of artists is important for CG movie production, while render farm is much more important than it. Artists' creation cannot be realized without render farm. As we all know, each production company has a huge render farm which is equipped with top-rank hardware specs. So is Fox Renderfarm with blender render farm, Maya render farm, good render farm software, vray render farm and 3ds max render farm. We are not a production company, yet production companies all over the world can benefit from the render service we offer. To contribute to the CG industry we love is the meaning of our existence!
